Jethro Tierney

Hey there, I’m Jethro Tierney, your friendly backup administrator and generally well liked guy. Information Technology has been in my blood even before I could read “run boulderdash” on the Commodore 64.

My skills grew from an early age as I discovered the ins and outs of various systems. Throughout high school I became familiar with a variety of programing languages. After completing high school in 2005 I wanted to continue my studies into Information Technology. I enrolled into a Bachelor of Information Technology at Monash University in Gippsland, where I discovered a wealth of ideas and skills. I was exposed to concepts of project management, systems design, and application development.

Shortly after completing my Bachelor I was hired by Dell to perform onsite warranty repairs. I acquired many practical skills in regards to dismantling and recombining computer parts on a variety of equipment, as well as the invaluable skill of knowing how to handle tech support. When the position at Connectivity IT was advertised I was ready for a change of pace.

Since working at Connectivity IT I have discovered new ways of doing things. I have learned about concepts which I had not previously considered and I expect that my future here will continue to provide many challenges which will encourage me to look at new ways to tackle problems, and to expand my knowledge.
